ABOUT ALBUM

The two artists, Antonio Catalani aka Holaf and Carlo Alberto Giardina , talk about our land by placing the Marsican brown bear, a protected species symbol of the Abruzzo park, almost as a gesture of thoughtfulness and of care. The bear keeps itself in balance between heaven and earth, supported by a totem composed of material and symbolic elements that accentuate the sense of fragility and precariousness. The cosmo, always present, it seems to contain and guide the fate of the bear, its life and its delicate ecosystem. Also a third artist, Guari Art, accompanied the first two in the creation of the work, leaving a trace on the opposite wall: a small teddy bear looking for and worriedly observing its mother, hoping that it will be able to keep itself alive in its precarious balance. In 2021 the same artists, Fabio Guarino and Antonio Catalani, created a new mural (24) which portrays our astronomer, Filippo Angelitti, in a contemporary key. Born in Aielli in 1856, Filippo Angelitti died in Palermo where, for more than thirty-three years, he held the position of director of the astronomical observatory.
