BORGO UNIVERSO
Borgo Universo was born in 2017 as a Street Art and astronomy festival, with the aim of telling, through street art, the history of the town and its unique contact with the cosmos.
Since then, every year new internationally renowned artists have been hosted to paint new stories and visions on the walls, giving life to what we now call an “open-air museum” spread across the streets of the town, always open and open to visitors, which houses for today 40 murals, sculptures and installations, and which continues to get richer and richer.

BORGO UNIVERSO
Borgo Universo is an open-air museum that uses the language of art and astronomy to tell and enrich the story of Aielli, a medieval village in the province of L'Aquila. The homonymous festival, now in its seventh edition, over the years has transformed the town into a real art gallery with about 40 murals created by internationally renowned artists, as well as sculptures and other exhibitions and installations.

ASTRONOMY
This peculiar dialogue with the universe began thanks to Filippo Angelitti, an astronomer born in Aielli in 1856, and continues today inside the Torre delle Stelle, which houses a sky museum and an astronomical observatory.

Borgo Universo organizes tours among the Murals of Aielli in Abruzzo (AQ).
A unique experience to try.
Every weekend it will be possible to observe, get to know and understand the widespread art on the streets of the village, with the help of local guides.
It is also possible to visit the #Torredellestelle in Aielli, participate in astronomical observations and many extra activities.
