Federica Claudia Soldani

Between the boundaries of the visible and the intangible, Federica Claudia Soldani builds an artistic language that is at the same time reflection and breath, body and symbol, root and metamorphosis. His is an art that arises from an existential urgency: that of narrating the human condition through the body, understood not as a shell but as a living mirror of being. A body that preserves classical harmonies, but which shatters in the vertigo of the contemporary, revealing tensions, contradictions and silenced truths. Soldani intertwines classicism and experimentation, matter and memory, with a technical mastery that becomes a means of psychological and poetic investigation. Each work is an emotional map: the materials chosen, from biodegradable polylactic acid to resin, from terracotta to plaster, up to light and ice; they become vehicles of meaning, tools for questioning the invisible, the unsaid, the essential. Through the 3D pen, mash-up sculpture, encaustic, performative photography, environmental installations and organic videos, the artist builds a path in which the unconscious meets reality, fragility becomes strength, precariousness becomes beauty. His research is crossed by a central theme: resilience. Not as an abstract concept, but as living matter, as a profound attitude, as a tension to remain whole even when everything falls apart. His sculptures don't just occupy space: they transform it. They are scenographies of the soul, meeting points between popular culture and the global gaze, between anthropology and nature, between the intimacy of the gesture and the chorality of memory. Soldani's Apulian roots emerge with irony and depth, and become universal in the ability to speak to everyone: to children and adults, to the cultured and the profane, to the past and the future. There is always a double gaze in his works: one ironic, the other poignant. Whether it is a hoe made of earth, a carpet beater transformed into a pedagogical symbol, an aging sculpture, a heart that beats and rots, a pumo that hides a skull, everything in Soldani is dual, alive, imperfect, necessary. His works are not looked at: they are listened to. They speak with the voice of silence, with the language of cracks. Soldani does not impose visions, but invites you to travel. And the spectator, as in a ritual, is called to look in the mirror, to touch his own vulnerable part, to recognize the shadow and to rediscover, in it, a form of light. His art is an act of intimate and collective resistance, a lucid and empathetic embrace that guides us towards a new awareness: beauty is not perfection. It is presence. It's transformation. It is the courage to unravel and continue to flourish.
