It’s Dub, but it echoes far beyond the boundaries of the genre. There is summer, there is reggae, but it is a completely different story.

It is discontinuous, but at the same time extremely danceable. Witty and intelligent lyrics, but everything revolves around sound. That’s what JPATTERSSON calls PROGADUB – because it doesn’t come from Jamaica, but from the east of the Federal Republic of Germany. Inspired by deep basslines, bicycle racing, old-school groovebox sounds and the carefree soul of children playing on the street.

The young talent offers a style that is mainly progressive and inclusive. Some songs have a sublime Balkan touch, some with an air of Jazz.

JPATTERSSON has defined its own genre: PROGADUB.
